"The Lost City of the Incas” is a must for all visitors to Peru. The Incas started building the site around AD 1430 but abandoned it during the Spanish conquest. Perched 2,000 feet above the Urubamba River, it contains misty palaces, baths, temples, buildings that play on astronomical alignments, and houses, all remarkably preserved.
